
Michael J. LoNano, CFP® is the President of LoNano Financial Advisors, Inc. He is also the Head Investment Strategist for the LFA Portfolios which are Risk Managed Portfolios available to the firms clients. He has been in the financial services industry for over 29 years and provides financial advice to successful individuals, corporate executives and business owners.
Michael enjoys assisting those transitioning into retirement as well as those already retired. However, he does not limit his practice to these areas as he is a firm believer in the importance of using a financial plan to navigate your financial decisions at all stages of life.
Michael graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York with a B.S. in Business and a minor in Philosophy. He complemented his education in the industry by obtaining the Certified Financial Planner™ or CFP® designation through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. He is also a Behavioral Financial Advisor™ or BFA™. Behavioral Finance is the integration of three disciplines: Traditional Finance, Psychology and Neuroscience. The intention is to increase emotional competency and decision-making behavior to increase the effective usage of financial planning.
In his spare time, Michael is active in his community and focuses on his family. Michael's interests include reading, music, and exercising. The LoNano family can often be seen out enjoying Greensboro's beautiful parks. Michael, his wife Mary of 30 years, their daughter April (age 28), reside in Greensboro, North Carolina.
